Arts & Business Scotland

Arts & Business Scotland acts as the conduit between the cultural and business sectors, helping to nurture the creative, social and commercial relationships that will enrich creativity and cultural engagement across Scotland. Arts & Business Scotland aims to foster dynamic relationships between businesses, local authorities and the cultural community to deliver ambitious and innovative cultural experiences to the people of Scotland.

Association for Cultural Enterprises (ACE)

ACE is a membership organisation for the cultural and heritage sector. Their aim is to promote commercial best practice in the sector by providing training and networking opportunities and facilitating the sharing of information and experience between their members.

Just Enterprise

Just Enterprise is a comprehensive programme designed to help Social Enterprises and budding social entrepreneurs achieve their trading ambitions. Supported by the Scottish Government, Just Enterprise is committed to the growth and sustainability of Scotland's third sector and our start-up, business support, business recovery, procurement, leadership and learning services are available to help social enterprises succeed.

Museums Association

The Museums Association is a membership organisation for those working in museums, galleries and heritage. They champion the value of museums to society and support and develop the people who work in them.

National Museum of Scotland (NMS)

The NMS training programme provides collections knowledge and skills training for Scottish museums and covers a wide range of topics such as managing a collections move, how to bid at auction, mounting a crowdfunding campaign and using handling collections for learning. They also offer a number of downloadable guidance materials and resources which are available from their website.

Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage

Resourcing Scotland's Heritage is a three-year programme led by Arts & Business Scotland with Archaeology Scotland, Built Environment Forum Scotland, Greenspace Scotland and Museums Galleries Scotland. The programme is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund Catalyst grants to deliver a capacity building programme for heritage organisations across Scotland. Resourcing Scotland's Heritage is the first fully co-ordinated sector-specific training and network strengthening programme to provide Scotland's diverse heritage sector with the vital tools it needs to increase funds from private sources.

Social Enterprise Academy

The Academy is a social enterprise that was set up to serve individuals and organisations working to make a positive impact in their communities and society. The Academy does this through learning and development support, bringing leaders, social entrepreneurs and people at all levels together to learn with and from each other. The Academy's mission is to support individuals and organisations to enhance their social and environmental impact and build sustainable business ideas and organisations.

Social Investment Scotland

Social Investment Scotland is a charity and social enterprise that provides loans to other charities, social enterprises and community groups across Scotland. They provide funding for social enterprises by borrowing money from banks and investors and lending it out at affordable business rates.
